While the number of cases of polio have dropped worldwide, Pakistan’s numbers have gone up quite a bit. The political turmoil in Pakistan is the culprit and the reason for the number of new cases increasing. Through it all, there are groups of people that still go out and vaccinate children under 5 years of age. The following URL will take you to an article that describes one such group of brave ladies.
Once you have read the article and understand the sacrifice people in Pakistan are willing to make, please consider donating to Rotary International’s PolioPlus program. The program helps pay for the vaccines. To vaccinate one child who will never have polio because of the vaccine costs $ .60 USD. The following URL will take you to the crowd funding program I have set up.
